King of streaming Drake has risen to the top of the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart to claim his fourth #1 and second this year with surprise track “Nice for What” (Island). Over on albums, Kylie has her sixth chart-topper and first with BMG, Golden. Golden finished 13k combined sales ahead of its nearest rival, The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic).
Despite entering at #8 midweek, “Nice for What” rocketed to the top thanks to streaming. The second highest new entry on singles this week is “One Kiss” (Columbia) by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa at #3. It was a close race between the Top 3 tracks with just over 2k sales separating them all. Last week’s #1, “Freaky Friday” (BMG) by Lil Dicky and Chris Brown, moves down to #2.
Midweek #1, “Dreams” (Polydor) by The Voice winner Ruti, has plunged down to #14 after an initial sales rush.
