Harry Styles is the latest star chosen by the Beeb for an hour-long entertainment show to be broadcast on BBC One in November. Yanks will be able to view the title via BBC Worldwide.
Harry Styles at the BBC will be filmed in front of a live studio audience in Manchester on 8/30. Styles will perform tracks from his self-titled #1 debut album and chat with host Nick Grimshaw about his life to date, being a solo artist and the start of his acting career.
It’s part of a rejuvenated effort from BBC Music to provide more music TV—they’ve done similar specials with Adele and Michael Buble—after recently announcing a new six-part music series coming to BBC One. Next month, live coverage of The Mercury Prize will include a 30-minute documentary previewing the shortlisted artists. In addition, Jools Holland will bring his iconic music television show to London's Royal Albert Hall in September for Later 25, celebrating 25 years, 50 series and over 360 episodes on BBC Two.
