WESTER ON THE DANCE BEAT
FOR WARNER/CHAPPELL U.K.
2/27/17

New Warner/Chappell MD Mike Smith has bolstered his A&R team with the appointment of dance music expert Anna Wester as A&R Manager. The hire is part of Smith's strategy to cultivate a diverse team that focuses on signing songwriters who can work with chart-topping acts—and close the gap on its rivals.

Wester is an accomplished broadcast and print journalist, DJ and talent booker who joins from global online music broadcasting platform, Boiler Room TV. Based at Warner/Chappell’s London offices, she reports to Smith.

“At Warner/Chappell, it’s our mission to provide best-in-class service to our songwriters, and that means having the best people in every genre on our team,” Smith said. “Anna’s fantastic knowledge and deep experience in the electronic and dance arena make her a tremendous addition to our A&R crew.”

Since 2015, Wester has worked for Boiler Room TV, which commissions and streams live music sessions around the world, working for the firm in New York and London.
