NEW MUSIC BLIGHTY: AURORA ARRIVES
3/14/16

Decca/Glassnote Swedish singer/songwriter Aurora released her debut album , All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, on Friday (3/11), while new singles arrived courtesy of Capitol newcomer Frances, X Factor finalist Jack Quickenden and new Polydor project LANY. So who’s hitting the iTunes U.K. chart?

Aurora is currently at #23 on the albums front, behind non-U.K. competitor Alessia Cara at #10 with debut Know-It-All (Virgin EMI). Painkillers by Brian Fallon (Island) is at #31, and Killswitch Engage are at #39 with Incarnate (Roadrunner).

On the iTunes Singles Chart, Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman" (Island) is the highest-charting new track at #11, while ZAYN is at #24 with instant-grat track “Like I Would” (RCA).

Frances has plummeted from #39 to #148 since ballad “Don’t Worry About Me” was premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show on 3/9, the same date the track was released. Quickenden’s “Blindfold,” released Friday, has already dropped out of the Top 200.

Aurora’s enjoying some homepage promo over at Spotify, as well as on Apple Music (where Cara is also featured). Will it be enough to propel the album into the upper echelons of the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart?
