WHAT IT IS: In the three years since indie-pop quartet The Aces released their debut album, When My Heart Felt Volcanic, they’ve sold out a headlining U.S. tour, supported the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, COIN and X Ambassadors, as well as documenting everything inbetween in the songs that would make up 2020’s Under My Influence. Consisting of sisters Cristal and Alisa Ramirez (vocals/guitar and drums), McKenna Petty (bass) and Katie Henderson (lead guitar/vocals), the group returned with “Don’t Freak” in 2021, inspired by their own experiences with mental health stigmas, before being featured on the Hulu reality competition series Exposure. With new music slated for this summer, keep an eye on The Aces as they prep for festival performances and a direct support slot on Why Don’t We’s upcoming tour.
LIVE: North American tour supporting Why Don’t We (summer 2022); Outloud Raising Voices Music Festival, WeHo Pride 2022, LOVELOUD Festival 2022, Hinterlands Festival 2022
