WHAT IT IS: With a one-of-a-kind trajectory self-described as “homeschool to Hollywood,” Amelia Moore is a Georgia-bred singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who first honed her skills by learning to play violin and piano as child. A self-taught songwriter since the age of 13, the Belmont University alumna moved to L.A. after college and launched her music career by working with boundary-pushing producers like Pink Slip to dream up her hyper-imaginative and magnetic form of alt-pop. After posting a series of original songs to TikTok over the course of the pandemic, Moore quickly gained an online following and inked a deal with Capitol in the fall of 2021. True to her TikTok and Instagram handle, @icryatwork, the 20-year-old artist approaches all her music with a fierce commitment to total emotional transparency. With only four tracks out, Moore has already racked up 10m+ global streams—and there’s more to come from this rising songstress in 2022.
