WHAT IT IS: Following moves to Atlanta and L.A., New Orleans native Lucky Daye met producer D’Mile and the pair began crafting his Grammy-nominated debut album, Painted, which introduced his brand of smoky, full-spectrum R&B. His EP Table for Two, featuring duets with Yebba, Ari Lennox and Mahalia, earned him a Grammy win in 2022 for Best Progressive R&B Album.
