WHAT IT IS: 21-year-old R&B songstress Marzz (real name: Laria McCormick) has spent the last year impressing audiences with her raw vocal prowess and songcraft before making her project debut with Love Letterz. The six-track EP combines classic R&B elements with the Louisville native’s gospel roots. Handwritten across multicolored notebooks—which help Marzz process her synesthesia—the ability to see color in music—Love Letterz serves as a proper introduction to the up-and-comer.
