WHAT IT IS: Bursting out of the Florida rap scene, Lake City native Raw Youngin has been building off buzz in the streets. He first gained traction dropping independent hardcore rap projects like Life of a Youngin and Life of a Youngin 2 before attracting the attention of Deep Pockets Ent. Eventually, Behind-the-scene-kings’ O.thaGod linked the up-and-comer with producer Southside, who signed Youngin to 808 Mafia. His latest single, “From the Block,” gives fans a glimpse of what’s next from the budding rapper, who’s been in the studio alongside heavy hitters like G Herbo, K Camp, Blac Youngsta and 21 Savage.
