WHAT IT IS: This South Florida native first gained traction on SoundCloud in 2019 for his emo-rap hits, which helped usher the subgenre into mainstream success. Following the release of his debut album, The Breakfast Club—which included collaborations with Whethan, Travis Barker and more—POORSTACY has been building a buzz leading up to his forthcoming project, Party at the Cemetery, due this fall. Laden with stories of angst, betrayal and apathy, the new album was inspired by the local metal and punk scenes he grew up around and is dedicated to his friends who’ve passed away.
