WHAT IT IS: 21-year-old R&B singer Marzz has spent the past few months impressing audiences with her vocal prowess and songcraft. The Louisville songstress made her project debut with Love Letterz (Keep Cool/RCA); the six-track EP combines classic R&B elements with her gospel roots. Handwritten in multicolored notebooks, which help Marzz process her synesthesia—the ability to see color in music—Love Letterz is a diary of her emotions and serves as a proper introduction to the up-and-comer.
