WHAT IT IS: The rapper was barely known outside of Dallas last year, but thanks to his hit record, “That’s on Me,” which became the #1 record at Urban radio, that has all changed. Yella Beezy, who’s since been deemed an “Emerging Artist” by Billboard, is currently on a U.S. tour with Chris Brown and has surpassed 300m global streams. His latest album, Baccend Beezy, helped cement his place as a star on the rise. Yella enlisted various A-listers to participate in Baccend Beezy, including Young Thug, NLE Choppa, Quavo, Gucci Mane and more. And his track with Chris Brown, “Restroom Occupied,” is now Top 20 and climbing the Urban radio charts. “You get me when you listen to anything I put out… I hope you can relate to my story, my struggle, and now my success.”
