WHAT IS: Vocalist Bryce Savage and DJ Cam Wales, who make up L.A. electro-pop duo NEFFEX, describe their music as “an aggressive but ultimately pop-oriented blend of hip-hop, alternative rock and EDM.” In 2017, they released one song per week, building a loyal fan base and garnering more than 1b total global streams. They just released their debut EP, Q203—a nod to the tiny apartment in Costa Mesa, Cal., where it all started—with a video for focus track “Without You.” Their previous 12Tone releases, “It’s My Life” and “Sunday,” will also appear on the EP.
