WHAT IT IS: Isabela Merced, a true triple threat, is a critically acclaimed singer, dancer and actress. Her major motion picture accolades include starring in Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight, Instant Family and, most recently, the live-action theatrical version of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. And her new movie, Let It Snow, comes out on Netflix on 11/8. She collaborated with other Latinx powerhouses, including Sebastian Yatra and Matt Hunter, on their releases, “My Only One (No Hay Nadie Más)” and “Lista De Espera.” Isabela was acknowledged as Cinemacon’s 2017 “Rising Star of the Year,” and her new single, “PAPI”—released 10/25—is sure to grab attention with its bilingual lyrics and catchy chorus.
