WHAT IT IS: “Gangsta Walk” is the culmination of Kevin “SNBRN” Chapman’s expertly lithe genre-blending of house, pop and hip-hop, which first garnered attention more than a year and a half ago with his hugely successful remix of 50 Cent & Nate Dogg’s “21 Questions”—a remix that amassed more than 5m streams across all platforms. On “Gangsta Walk,” SNBRN incorporates a previously unreleased a capella track from late hip-hop legend Dogg, a recording officially granted by his estate and Reach Music Publishing for the first time ever, to any artist.
