BUT WHERE’S THE AVOCADO TOAST?
1/11/19

From HITS pub geek Simon Glickman: I recently visited the Silver Lake digs of Pulse Music Group and sat in on a music meeting that crystallized for me the vibrancy of both its writing roster and its company culture. The gaggle of mostly young, impossibly hip music aggregators in that room bobbed their heads in unison to track after mesmerizing track; in conversation they evinced what I would describe as a holistic understanding of art and commerce. It’s the kind of circus you want to run away and join, and gives context to Pulse’s 2018 Indie Pubco of the Year award from AIMP. Later, Scott Cutler, Josh Abraham, Maria Egan and the whole gregarious crew agreed to pose for a pic with me, which Scott explained to staff by claiming it was “bring a nerd to work day.”
