UMPG INKS DANNY SHAH TO GLOBAL PUB DEAL

UMPG announced out of London today that songwriter Danny Shah has been signed to a global publishing deal.

Within the last 18 months, Shah has become one of the fastest-rising songwriters in the industry. He secured two UK #1 albums with The Vamps and co-wrote five tracks on Kylie Minogue's recent album, Golden. Shah has also penned several songs for major artists including David Guetta, HRVY, Loren Gray, Kaiser Chiefs and many more.

“Writing a melody that is unique, interesting and memorable is the most satisfying feeling and genuinely helps me sleep at night. I feel very lucky to say I’m living my dream job alongside Universal Music Publishing.”

On making the announcement, UMPG U.K. MD Mike McCormack said: “We are extremely proud to have signed a writer of Danny’s quality and ambition. As soon as you meet Danny, his personality and drive is clear for all to see and it’s no wonder he’s one of the most in-demand writers out there. With over 50 cuts in the last year and no signs of slowing down, Danny is prolific.”
