During a ceremony to commemorate BMG winning Independent Publisher of the Year honors at the 25th annual ASCAP Latin Music Awards, the pubco's VP Creative Claribel Caraballo tells ASCAP prexy Paul Williams that she loves "The Rainbow Connection." Moments later, Jeff Sessions raided the place, declaring, "We've busted this connection at last, boys. Confiscate all rainbows."
Anyhoo, seen thinking everything will get normal again soon are (l-r) Williams, ASCAP's Gabriela Gonzalez, Caraballo and ASCAP EVP Memberhsip John Titta.
BMG took eight awards during the event in San Juan, Puerto Rico's Condado Vanderbilt Hotel.
Offered Thomas Scherer, EVP Frontline Publishing US & International Writer Services, "BMG is very proud of this extraordinary achievement. Claribel Caraballo and her team truly walk the talk in their daily business. The successes they have accomplished with Gente de Zona, Pitbull, Alex Sensation, 24 Horas, in addition to Dej Loaf, Troi Irons and Wondagurl makes this honor truly inspiring. Thank you to Claribel and her team, a big thank you to our writers and thank you ASCAP!"
"We are grateful to ASCAP acknowledging BMG’s success," Caraballo said, "and could not be more proud in sharing this award with our incredible songwriters. It is a very exciting time at BMG and we are just getting started. The future is bright! A big congratulations to team BMG!"
