With awards season upon us, the announcements keep pouring in. A real big one came from CBS, which has confirmed that Maroon 5 will be this year’s Superbowl halftime act in Atlanta on 2/3/19; wait, I can’t believe I just typed “19”!

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper took the #1 spot on the Mediabase Pop chart this week with Khalid x Normani’s “Love Lies.” The song’s been a Top 5 Greatest Gainer for six straights weeks, based on amazing callout numbers. Kygo f/Miguel’s “Remind Me to Forget” is set to join the Top 10 with a nearly closed out panel and more than 250m streams. Martin Garrix f/Khalid’s “Ocean” pulled in six new adds this week and is looking to join the Top 30; spin leaders include KAMP, KIIS and WWPW.

Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis just got the nod from iHeart that Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love” will be the next On The Verge track featured at Pop radio. It’s currently Top 25, but look for this one to soar quickly.

Def Jam’s Farag and Rothschild continue to stack on the airplay for Logic f/Ryan Tedder’s “One Day”; new this week are KZZP, KLIF and WAEB. It’s currently moving toward the Top 30.



Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman have NF’s “Lie” (NF Real Music) Top 15, pulling in big spin increases from WXSS, KKRZ and KHKS.

Interscope’s Romano and Lopes have Selena Gomez’s “Back to You” eyeing the top of the Pop chart. It’s currently Top 5 with #1 RTM research with females. Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” (Grade A) is set to join the Top 10 with #1 consumption numbers and 165+ stations on board. Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” (KidinaKorner) is Top 15 at Pop with 145+ stations on board. It’s also #1 at Alt and Top 10 at Hot. This track is, shall we say, “fire.” benny blanco, Halsey & Khalid’s “Eastside” (Friends Keep Secrets) joins the Top 20 with 160 Stations on board. That one’s new at HITS 1, WKQI, KDWB and KSLZ. Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up” (10 Summers)—Top 5 at Shazam and #1 at YouTube—joins the Top 25. Zedd & Elley Duhe’s “Happy Now” joins the Top 30 with 100+ stations, including KMVQ, KALV, WDZH and WBLI.

Capitol’s Marella, Rainey and Nolletti were #2 Most Added this week with Marshmello f/Bastille’s “Happier,” which pulled in another 27 adds and is set to join the Top 20. 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Youngblood” rises up to #4 this week, with a closed-out panel and some terrific research to continue the drive to the top.

Warner Bros.Dyer, Reich and Shih impacted Dan + Shay’s “Tequila” (Warner Music Nashville) this week, landing in the Most Added column while scoring adds from HITS 1, Music Choice and WRVW. Jason Derulo x David Guetta f/Nicki Minaj & Willy William’s “Goodbye” (Beluga Heights) is moving toward the Top 25 with 100+ stations onboard. New this week are KNOU, WNOW and WPRO. Bryce Vine’s “Drew Barrymore” (Sire)—set to join the Top 15—pulled in new airplay from WDZH and WPOI. Anne-Marie’s “2002”—now Top 30—is new at WWPW, WNCI, WFLC and WQEN. And Bebe Rexha’s “I’m a Mess” joins the Top 10 this week with an almost-closed-out panel.



Epic’s Sackheim, Afloarei and Dimig have DJ Khaled f/Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper & Quavo’s “No Brainer” (We The Best) heading Top 5 as one of the week’s Greatest Gainers again. Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle) impacted and is now on 40+ stations, including KAMP, KMVQ, WODS and WPOW. Mijo at WPOW says, “It’s undeniable; it’s everywhere you go!”

Over at Columbia, Team Leipsner put Silk City f/Dua Lipa’s “Electricity” back in the Most Added column, pulling in 20 new stations, including KAMP, WPOW, KDIS and KBFF this week. The track—set to chart on MB—is also Top 10 at iTunes globally while #10 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits. LSD’s “Thunderclouds” (RECORDS) has charted and is on 60+ stations after landing back in the Most Added column. New airplay is on the board from Z100, WKSC, KYLD and WIOQ.

Republic’s Spangler, Russell and Dastur are celebrating a lot this week. For one, Ariana Grande became the first artist since 2010 to have three titles on the Top 40 chart. Impacting this week—and already charting—is “breathin,” which was the Most Added track, scoring 43 new stations. “God is a woman,” the #3 Greatest Gainer, is heading Top 5. Tiesto & Dzeko f/Preme & Post Malone’s “Jackie Chan” is heading Top 15 after pulling in big increases from WFLC, WBLI and WAKS. Mike Posner’s “Song About You” (Island) was #2 Most Added for two weeks in a row, this week scoring 27 adds that include Z100, KIIS, KHKS and WKQI.
