Music heals the soul; I’ve always been told that. Our hearts continue to ache for those in Vegas, people who were there to listen to music, dance, sing along and live life. Many of our friends and family have stood on that stage or on the grounds where this tragedy played out; nothing shakes us to our core more than that thought. Everyone has thoughts of what to do to remove the monsters from our midst. For me, I’ll choose to love more, laugh more and sing louder (and I apologize in advance for the singing). #choosekindness #stopthehate.

Capitol’s Marella, Rainey and Siciliano put Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” in the #1 spot at Pop this week, and in the middle of their celebration, they’ve dropped the next single, “Too Much to Ask,” which will impact 10/10. Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” is one of the week’s Greatest Gainers and is heading Top 10 with a closed-out panel. Halsey’s “Bad at Love” (Astralwerks) moves up to #17 this week with Top 5 research at RTM in her pocket.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper were Top 10 Most Added this week with Marshmello f/Khalid’s “Silence” (Joytime Collective) pulling in major market adds from Z100, WODS, B96, WXSS and KYLD. The track is Top 10 U.S. & Global at Spotify. Kesha’s “Praying” (Kemosabe) looks Top 10-bound and is #10 in Digital Song Sales, while #15 at U.S. Shazam. P!nk’s “What About Us,” which just posted Mediabase National #1 Potential callout, is Top 15 MB with an almost closed-out panel. ZAYN f/Sia’s “Dusk Til Dawn” pulled in new adds from KIIS, KVIL, WPOW and KMXV this week and looks to chart next week. Also looking to chart next week with 80+ stations in tow, including KHKS, KHTS, KPTT and WHQC, is Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” (Right Hand). “Tons of data already tells you everything you need to know about this,” shares KTFM PD DJ Grooves. “And if that doesn't work, go see him do it live and watch the audience reaction.”

Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman are setting up NF’s “Let You Down” to impact on 10/23. Already jumping on board are WDZH, KALV, WNOW and KCHZ.

Republic’s Spangler and Russell will have the new #1 with Liam Payne f/Quavo’s “Strip That Down,” which is still Top 10 at iTunes and Top 10 U.S. Shazam. Up next will be Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (Big Machine), as it moves up inside the Top 5 with 500m video views and Top 5 iTunes sales. Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” (Safehouse/Hollywood/Island) is Top 10 and was the week’s #2 Greatest Gainer, based on monster callout. They’re re-impacting J. Balvin & Willy Williams’ “Mi Gente” (Roc Nation), with the addition of Beyoncé, and it’s currently #2 at iTunes and Top 10 U.S. Shazam. Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso f/Florida Georgia Line & watt’s “Let Me Go” moves up and is set to join the Top 30; big spin-leaders include KDIS and Music Choice. Justin Bieber & Bloodpop’s “Friends” (GPOP/RBMG/Def Jam) is heading Top 10 with spin increases coming in from Z100, KIIS and WWPW. Post Malone f/21 Savage’s “rockstar” is set to chart at MB and is #1 Global & U.S. Spotify, while also #1 at Apple Music. Nick Jonas’ “Find You” (Safehouse/Island) debuted at #36 this week with 120+ stations spinning. Big believers include Music Choice, KYLD, KLUC and WQMP.

Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have Sabrina Carpenter’s “Why” ready to join the Top 30 with 150+ stations spinning and big increases coming in from HITS 1, KKXX and WDOD.

Epic’s Afloarei and Dimig put Camila Cabello f/Young Thug’s “Havana” (SYCO) back at the top of the addboard this week on the official impact date. It’s set to join the Top 25 already with 120+ stations on board. French Montana f/Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” (Bad Boy) is Top 10 and moving to power rotation everywhere. Fifth Harmony’s “He Like That” (SYCO) was also Most Added this week and it official charts with KIIS, WWPW, Y100 and WFLZ all on board. Yo Gotti & Mike WiLL Made-It f/Nicki Minaj’s “Rake It Up” (Gotti Made-It) is now Top 5 at Rhythm and crossing over… BMG’s David Nathan has Fergie f/Nicki Minaj’s “You Already Know” chart-bound with strong airplay at Venus, WKTU and WWMX.

Warner Bros. Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih have moved Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” Top 20 as one of the week’s Greatest Gainers. There are now 180 stations spinning. It’s also #2 Spotify Global, #4 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and the #10 video on YouTube. Macklemore f/Skylar Grey’s “Glorious” (Bendo) makes the Top 20 move with 170+ stations on board. Impacting this week is Linkin Park’s “One More Light.” The video for that has pulled in 19m views in just two weeks. Impacting now is Macklemore f/Kesha’s “Good Old Days” (Bendo). Those who couldn’t wait for an impact include KIIS, WBMP, KYLD and KMVQ.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild and Farag have moved Logic f/Alessia Cara & Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255” Top 10 this week with massive spin increases everywhere, as this hot-as-fire track continues to climb the chart. Axwell^Ingrosso’s “More than You Know” has now pulled in close to 50 stations, including WPOW, KROI, WPOI and KMVQ, and is chart-bound.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan are impacting the new Calvin Harris f/Kehlani & Lil Yachty’s “Faking It” on 10/16 and it should be on your desk now. Impacting 10/23 is CNCO & Little Mix’s “Reggaeton Lento” (SYCO).

MUSIC WE LOVE: Olivia Holt’s “Generous” (Hollywood), Marshmello X Khalid’s “Silence” (Joytime Collective/RCA).
