The MLB All-Star break…That signifies the halfway mark of summer, and I’m not ready for that yet! Although, with all this heat and humidity, it definitely has me longing for fall nights. And with football season getting closer—okay, I’m feeling a little better about it now.

As for the music world, Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell celebrate moving Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee f/Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam) into the #1 slot 11 weeks after impact. Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” (Island) looks headed that way too, based on the new callout that’s posting nationwide. This week, it took a huge jump from #12-6. Liam Payne f/Quavo’s “Strip That Down” joins the Top 20. Post Malone f/Quavo’s “Congratulations” is now Top 30 and on 170+ stations. Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls” also makes the Top 30 move, while starting to explode at iTunes and Shazam. Julia Michaels’ “Uh Huh” has pulled in 70+ adds since impact, including Hits 1, KIIS and WBBM, and is chartbound.

Capitol’s Marella, Rainey and Siciliano impacted Jonas Blue f/William Singe’s “Mama” and pulled in big adds from Z100, WKSC and KHKS—just to name a few of the majors. Halsey’s “Now or Never” (Astralwerks) is now #4 and was the week’s #2 Greatest Gainer; the panel is closed out. Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” is Top 15 at Mediabase, Top 5 at iTunes and Top 10 at Shazam. One of the hottest tracks at T40 is Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” (MCA Nashville), which is now on 125+ stations and joins the Top 20 this week.

Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman are pulling in big adds on Hey Violet’s “Hoodie.” It was once again in the Top 10 Most Added, scoring adds from KDIS, WFLC, WFLZ and WKSC. Look for this one to chart very soon. Disney’s Phil Guerini says, “Hey Violet’s new single is a perfect fit for every summer playlist… Just like a good ‘Hoodie’ should be.”

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild and Farag have closed out the panel on David Guetta f/Justin Bieber’s “”2U,” which has reached the Top 15 in just five weeks. Logic f/Alessia Cara & Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255” is set to join the Top 30 with 100+ stations on board, including Z100, WBMP, KIIS and WXKS.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih have Bebe Rexha f/Lil Wayne’s “The Way I Are” on 120+ stations, and it’s heading Top 30 with help from Venus, KDIS and KHTS. Macklemore f/Skylar Grey’s “Glorious” (Bendo) pulled in 140+ stations in just two weeks. It charted this week, climbing to #37.

RECORDSJohn Strazza has put Noah Cyrus’ “Stay Together” back on the chart this week and it looks headed Top 30. There are over 33m video views and 37m streams.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper impacted Kesha’s “Praying” (Kemosabe) and were Most Added on impact, scoring airplay from 70+ stations. They also charted Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand) which is now Top 10 sales and Top 10 on Spotify. Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” is heading Top 15. It’s also Top 10 in single sales, with 135m streams on Spotify and 180m video views. Kygo f/Ellie Goulding’s “First Time” has pulled in adds from B96, KVIL, WODS and WDZH and is chartbound.

Glassnote’s Nick Petropoulos has Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” set to join the Top 20 at Pop. It’s been Most Added for eight out of the past 10 weeks and has all but closed out the panel. The track has already reached #1 at Rhythm this week.

Epic’s Afloarei and Dimig posted huge adds on Fifth Harmony f/Gucci Mane’s “Down” (SYCO) this week, just as the track gets set to join the Top 25; there’s KIIS, WXXL, WDZH and KZZP, just to name a few. We the Best’s DJ Khaled has the #1 album in the country and two tracks moving up on the chart with “I’m The One” f/Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne at #3 with a closed out panel and “Wild Thoughts” f/Rihanna & Bryson Tiller as the week’s Greatest Gainer and set to join the Top 15. French Montana f/Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” (Bad Boy) pulled in Z100 and KAMP this week, as it moves Top 30.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan impacted The Chainsmoker’s “Honest” this week, and it became the #2 Most Added track at Pop, pulling in 62 adds, including those from Hits 1, WKSC, KIIS and KHKS. Calvin Harris f/Pharrell, Katy Perry & Big Sean’s “Feels” is now Top 20. They’re also moving to a new track from Harry Styles, “Two Ghosts,” which impacts 8/7.

MUSIC WE LOVE: Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” (Safehouse/Island/Republic), Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan’s “There For You” (STMPD/Epic Amsterdam).
