Well, the fourth quarter has definitely kicked in and it seems that every few days another major release is landing on the desk of the PDs. Problem is … where to find the spins for all the songs that deserve to move up on rotation when there are “impact spins” that must take those slots? What to do, what to do? PDs are having more and more trouble balancing the big releases with the songs already on the chart needing to move up, a lot of good work records are sure to get in lost in the shuffle.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan are enjoying another week three at the top of the Pop chart with The Chainsmokers f/Halsey’s “Closer” (Disruptor). Shall we go for four? Calvin Harris’ “My Way” is poised to join the Top 10 this week with new adds coming from WXSS and WBHT. Frenship’s “Capsize” is now Top 30 and pulls in KEGY, WNOW and WWHT. Mike Perry f/Shy Martin’s “The Ocean” (DF Records) has new commitments from KVIL and KJYO. Look for a HUGE impact week on John Legend’s “Love Me Now” which impacts all formats this week.

Republic’s CW, Spangler & Russell are on fire with The Weeknd f/Daft Punk’s “Starboy” (XO) which has climbed inside the Top 10 in just three weeks. It is currently #9 and it was once again the Greatest Gainer of the week. Not far behind is Hailee Steinfeld & Grey f/Zedd’s “Starving” as it moves up to #11 this week. Ariana Grande f/Nicki Minaj’s “Side To Side” joins the Top 20 just as the great research numbers start to pour in and watch out because here comes DNCE’s “Body Moves” which should chart next week.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothchild & Farag have Alessia Cara’s “Scars (To Your Beautiful)” set to join the Top 15 with 175 stations on board. Kanye West’s “Fade” (G.O.O.D.) moves up to #32 with support from Z100, KIIS and KAMP. Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) is impacting now and already has commitments from WBMP, WKQI, WIOQ and WZMP.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio & Cooper are moving Sia f/Kendrick Lamar’s “The Greatest” (Monkey Puzzle) up the chart quickly; it’s already inside the Top 20 and was one of the week’s Greatest Gainers. Martin Garrix & BeBe Rexha’s “In The Name of Love” is set to join the Top 30; new adds this week include KYLD, WHQC and Radio Disney. Pitbull f/Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis’ “GreenLight” scored new airplay this week from Z100, KIIS, KLIF and WDZH. Tinashe’s “SuperLove” is looking to chart this week.

Capitol’s Marella, Rainey, Youngblood & Siciliano have moved Jon Bellion’s “All Time Low” Top 25 and have 160 stations on board. One week after impact, Niall Horan’s “This Town” is Top 30 with big support coming in from HITS1, WNCI and Music Choice. Bastille’s “Good Grief” (Virgin) had a huge impact week and is already bubbling just under the chart.

Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern & Holman launched Hey Violet’s “Guys My Age” (5Mode) and landed in the Most Added Column last week pulling in airplay from WKSC, WRVQ, KALV and WFLZ, this one should chart soon.

Epic’s Team Glassman has Meghan Trainor f/Yo Gotti’s “Better” moving Top 25 currently and KIIS and iHeart PC come on board this week. Fifth Harmony’s “That’s My Girl” (SYCO) moves up to #35 is already on 125 stations. Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault” (TEN) moves up to #37 and new adds include Z100, Y100 and KHKS. Impacting this week is Wrabel’s “11 Blocks” and already confirmed are WWMX, KNOU, WZFT and WLDI.

Hollywood’s Finck, Smith & Ennis are off to a great start with Jordan Fisher’s “Lookin’ Like That.” It’s moving closer to the chart with new airplay coming in from WHBQ, WNKS and WNCI. Andy Grammer’s “Fresh Eyes” (S-Curve) is also bubbling just under the chart as WZPL and WWPW post new airplay, watch for this one to chart soon.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih have Jason Derulo’s “Kiss The Sky” moving toward the Top 30 this week with big support coming from Venus, WIOQ and KHTS. Dua Lipa’s “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” has impacted and pulled in 60+ stations so far, notably WXSS, WRVW, WRNW and WNTQ.
