And I thought Bobby Poe’s conventions had a lot of action! I refuse to get political, but damn, people, there is some serious stuff happening right now! Please don’t sit back and comment from your armchair. Get out, be involved and VOTE! If not, you maybe very unhappy come November. And now to the business of the music.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper got to celebrate their #1 on Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” (Monkey Puzzle) while at their meeting in NYC this week; always a great feeling when it works out like that! Pink’s “Just Like Fire” climbs up to #7 and is just shy of closing out the panel. Britney Spears f/G-Eazy’s “Make Me…” quickly moved up inside the Top 25 and was one of this week’s Greatest Gainers. Frankie’s “New Obsession” is on 30+ stations including KDIS, WNCI and WZPL. 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Girls Talk Boys” launched and scored 60+ stations with big believers on board like HITS1, WWWQ and WDZH.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan jumped Calvin Harris f/Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For” up to #2 this week and are poised to be the next #1 at Pop. Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” (XL) with, once again, a 1000+ spin increase is ready to make the Top 10 move. The new The Chainsmokers f/Halsey’s “Closer” lands at radio on 7/29.

Epic’s Team Glassman has an explosive hit on their hands in Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” (We The Best) which is heading Top 5. It is still Top 15 on iTunes and is #2 on Shazam Nationwide. Meghan Trainor’s “Me Too” is Top 5 on iTunes and is looking to make the jump to Top 10 on the Mediabase chart. Fifth Harmony’s “All In My Head (Flex)” (SYCO) is on 175 Pop stations and moved up inside the Top 15 to #13. DJ Khaled f/Drake’s “For Free” pulled in big adds last week from WITH, Y100 and KHKS last week and is now Top 30. Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” charted this week and has over 400m streams on the track and over 300m video views.

Mom & Pop’s David Jacobs continues to have the hot hand with Flume f/Kai’s “Never Be Like You.” The track moves up to #14 this week and is Top 10 on Spotify and Shazam; it is also #11 on the iTunes chart. Major market spin increases this week include WODS, KPWK, KDND and WKSS.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothchild and Farag dropped Major Lazer f/Justin Bieber & MO’s “Cold Water” (Mad Decent) and in mere hours it had charted and ended up landing in the Top 30 after just a few days of spins making it the week’s Greatest Gainer. Look for it to be at the top of the Add Board for the week. Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful” impacts this week and tons of majors have already stepped up to the plate: WBMP, WIOQ, WBLI and Y100; currently there are 2.6million views on the video. Rihanna’s “Needed Me” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) is #9 on theMediabase Power Play List and is on more than 145 stations. "It's great to see Rihanna have success at the Pop format with ‘Needed Me.’ She is a core artist for us," said Keith Allen, PD at WMKS. Nathan Sykes f/G-Eazy’s “Give It Up” (Global Music Recordings) impacted with 25 stations including WBMP, KMVQ and WQMP and should chart soon.

Capitol’s Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano debuted Katy Perry’s “Rise” at #33 this week. The streams on the track exploded immediately on impact, and it is #1 in every metric this week both downloads and streaming. There are 22 million views on the Olympics video and the official video drops 7/28. Ben Rector’s “Brand New” (Aptly Named/Caroline) is Top 30 and on over 95+ stations; the track is also set to move Top 5 at Hot AC. Troye Sivan f/Alessia Cara’s “Wild” is sitting just outside the Top 30 with big support coming from over 95 stations including HITS1, Z100, KRBE and KYLD.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih have moved Lukas Graham’s “Mama Said” Top 25 and by the looks of the huge spin increases, it is sure to be Top 20 very quickly. Big moves come in this week from WNFN, KDIS, WRNW, WRVQ and HITS1. RedOne f/Enrique Iglesias, R. City, Shaggy & Serayah’s “Don’t You Need Somebody” is now Top 30 and pulled in adds last week from WKTU, WLDI and WNKS. Tinie Tempah f/Zara Larsson’s “Girls Like” (Disturbing London) is moving closer to charting after pulling in big adds from ‘s, WKI, KEGY and KDND.

Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell officially impact Kungs & Cookin on 3 Burners’ “This Girl” (Sound of Barclay) this week, but there are already more than 125 stations that have jumped out on the track. Oh, and it is sitting at #38 already! Also impacting this week is Hailee Steinfeld & Grey f/Zedd’s “Starving,” which should easily wind up in the Most Added Column. Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better” (Island) is now #9 and climbing. DNCE’s “Toothbrush” continues to grow spins and is looking to move Top 15. Ariana Grande’s “Into You” was one of the week’s Greatest Gainers and moves up to #17, and has all but closed out the panel already. Drake f/Rihanna’s “Too Good” (YMCMB) jumps up to #22 this week with big help from some huge spin increases from KIIS, Z100, Y100 and WBMP. Marc E. Bassy f/G-Eazy’s “You & Me” charted this week and is already on 80+ stations.
