Adele, Adele, Adele! That just seemed to be the fitting way to open the column this week, considering that’s all you hear everywhere you turn. And with good reason; she’s about to break NSYNC’s record for highest first-week sales (2.4m), which has stood since 2000. On this weekend’s SNL, where she served as musical guest, the skits were some of their best in years, and her NYC event last week still has everyone talking. Now let’s get to the business of the business…

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan are loving all the Adele action on “Hello” (XL), as the track moves to #1 in multiple formats; even the Rhythmic-leaning Top 40s are all over it. One Direction’s “Perfect” (SYCO) moves Top 20. The sales numbers on that one are terrific as well. The Chainsmokers f/Rozes’ “Roses” is on over 45 stations, including KHKS, WXKS and KSLZ, as the track gets ready to move Top 20. Rachel Platten’s follow-up single, “Stand by You,” is chartbound this week, pulling in WBLI, KMXV and WNCI.

Epic’s Team Glassman has Meghan Trainor f/John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” poised to make the Top 10 move after a stunning AMA performance. Travi$ Scott’s “Antidote” (Grand Hustle) is on fire, pulling in majors WBMP, KAMP, WZMP and WPOW this week, this one looks to be off to the races. Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” is looking to chart and now on over 50 stations with over 25m views on the video.

Capitol’s Rainey, Youngblood & Sicilano have 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Hey Everybody!” Top 25 and moving up; new airplay this week includes KNOU, WODS and KZON. Halsey’s “New Americana” (Astralwerks) moved Top 30 this week, taking a big jump based on callout stories. Meanwhile, Tori Kelly’s “Hollow” charted and pulled in WWKL and KMVQ, as well as lots of Cumulus love.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild & Farag continue to have great success with Alessia Cara’s “Here,” as they move the track up inside the Top 10 and close out the panel. Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” (RBMG) looks to be on track for the Top 10 move next week. The panel is also closed out on that one; big increases just came from WPOW, Z90 and WHQC.

Artbeatz/RED’s Buch, Halpern & Weil have moved Daya’s “Hide Away” Top 20. With the new callout coming in, there are big spin increases from Z100, WXKS, KSLZ and KHTS, as well as new adds from Y100, WPOW and WDZH. On the RAL side of things, Nelly f/Jeremih’s “The Fix” pulls in KHKS, WNKS and WDJX, as the track gets set to move Top 30.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih launched Adam Lambert’s “Another Lonely Night” last week. It was the #2 Most Added track, pulling in WBBM, SiriusXM Hits 1, KMXV and WPOI just to name a few. Nico & Vinz f/Bebe Rexha’s “That’s How You Know” is ready to make the jump to Top 30 with new airplay posting from KHTT, KDWB and WXXL.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio, Cooper & Strazza have Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s “ sitting at #8 on the chart; it continues to pull in great callout numbers and is the #4 USA Shazam track and the #7 digital song. Pentatonix performed an amazing tribute to Star Wars on the AMAs. They also just charted at radio with “Can’t Sleep Love,” which continues to post big sales numbers in airplay markets. Sia’s “Alive” (Monkey Puzzle) pulled in new airplay this week from KAMP and Sirius XM Venus. You can also catch the track in the new promo for Chicago Med. Chris Brown’s “Zero” charted this week and is on 60+ Pop stations, pulling in WPOW, WKSE and WPST. Tinashe f/Chris Brown’s “Player” is on over 30 stations, and KEGY, WJHM and WHHD all came on board last week.

Republic’s CW, Spangler & Russell have Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (YMCMB) sitting at #3, but are pushing for him to make the big move. Ariana Grande’s “Focus” climbs to #14 after her #1 add week, in which Team Republic posted 158 adds. The Weeknd’s “In the Night” (XO) debuted at #22 this week and was the #2 Greatest Gainer. DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean” is #8 on SNOL and it is pulling in 800k Spotify listens per week. Fall Out Boy f/Demi Lovato’s “Irresistible” (DCD2/Island) has pulled in 100+ Top 40 stations in just three weeks, including some pretty impressive majors: Hits 1, RD, WKSC and KBKS. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabelo’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (Island) is impacting this week.

Thanks to the joint venture between Team Republic and Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis, Demi Lovato’s “Confident” (Safehouse/Island/Hollywood) is now at #13 with 2.3m Spotify plays per week and #1 RTM callout. Look for that one to be headed Top 10 very soon.

MUSIC WE LOVE: AudioDamn!’s “Radar” (Epic), Hailee Steinfeld’s “You’re Such A” (Republic).
