New Add Action At Pop Radio This Week

It was a great weekend of performances, both on the court and on the awards stages. I’m not sure which has been more talked about around the water cooler today, the Madonna/Taylor performance, Rihanna, Iggy and Jennifer, Justin or the Kentucky vs ND game… They were all fun to watch!

Speaking of Taylor Swift, “Style” (Big Machine) still tops the chart this week, and Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell also have Natalie La Rose f/Jeremih’s “Somebody” (IMG), currently #8, moving into Power at a ton of majors and looking to be next up to take the crown. The Weeknd’s “Earned It” is this week’s Greatest Gainer; it’s also #1 at Spotify and Shazam’s #1 U.S. and Global track. Nick Jonas’ “Chains” (Island) was the most Shazam’d performance after his appearance on the iHeartRadio Music Awards. “Chains” is also ready to make the jump into the Top 10 at radio. Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” continues to show strong growth inside the Top 10. Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” (Island) moved into the Top 20 this week and has some strong potential numbers in both RTM and MB callout.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Strazza, Daddio and Cooper picked up Z100, WIHT, WKSC and KZZP, adding to the group of majors that put Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” in the Most Added column last week. Sia’s “Elastic Heart” also had big week that included WBMP, WRDW and WDZH. Chris Brown has two tracks on the move; “Ayo” f/Tyga landed KHKS, KHFI and WMKS last week, and there are a ton of majors and mix shows jumping on Deorro X Chris Brown’s “Five More Hours.”

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Chester, Rothchild and Farag launched Alesso’s “Cool” last week with 35 new adds, and it’s already started to climb the chart quickly. Rihanna’s “BBHMM” dropped and immediately picked up major market airplay prior to impact. Iggy Azalea f/Jennifer Hudson’s “Trouble” is getting some huge sales increases this week, not only from her TV performances, but also from the lip-sync video Sean Hayes and husband uploaded on Sean’s Facebook page. It’s at almost 30m views after just a couple of days.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan charted George Ezra’s “Budpest” last week and have added KZHT, WNKS and WEZB to the growing list of believers. LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills” continues its hot streak, moving up inside the Top 30 and adding nine stations last week, while WKGS, WHKF and WKSZ are already on the board for this week. Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” has some nice early Pop play from WXKS, WNOK and WKCI.

Epic’s team Glassman got the nod from Cumulus this week for Life of Dillon’s “Overload” and moved up to #36, while Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink’s “Worth It” (SYCO) climbs to #33 and picks up new airplay from KIIS, WPLW and KRBE. Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” is on over 120 stations, charted last week and is already set to move Top 30 with big believers in WEZB, WLDI and KMXV.

Warner Bros.
Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih are firing on all cylinders with Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” (Beluga Heights), which is moving very quickly up the chart. Derulo's was also one of the outstanding performances at the iHeart Awards last night. Echosmith’s “Bright” jumped inside the Top 30 and got big increases this week from SiriusXM Hits 1, KZHT and WNOK.

Hollywood’s Finck and Smith charted Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” (S-Curve/Hollywood) this week, with new adds from WKST, WJIM and KHFI. The sales and Shazam numbers are very strong on this one. R5’s “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight” is picking up steam and climbing toward the chart.

Capitol’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano moved Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love” up inside the Top 20 this week and got new, big rotation increases at KHKS, WAPE and WKST. Meanwhile, Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” is poised to move inside the Top 20, and WFLZ and KLUC are both already on the board for this week.

RAL’s Weil and Halpern continue to grow Shaggy f/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi’s “I Need Your Love” with WFLZ, KKHH, WJHM and WZFT all already on the board for this week and big spin increases coming in from KSLZ, WRDW and Hits 1.
