POP MART: MUSIC STEALS MOVIES' BIGGEST NIGHT
Common, Legend and Gaga Wow Crowds, While Taylor Swift Gets 3000+ Spin Week & Mark Ronson Continues to Rule

While the Academy Awards are clearly the movies’ biggest night, music stole the show! The performances were all great. the Lego Oscars that were handed out during the performance of “Everything is Awesome” from The Lego Movie were the tchotchke of the night and were all over social media in everyone’s party pics. Lady Gaga blew everyone away with her Sound of Music medley… and “the Oscar goes to” Common and John Legend’s spectacular performance of “Glory,” which brought tears to everyone eyes. Cinema’s biggest night turned in to a big night at iTunes and Shazam for all of the performed songs.

This is the fifth consecutive week that Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” stands at the top of the chart. Riccitelli, JR, Strazza, Daddio and Cooper also have Pitbull f/Ne-Yo’s “Time of Our Lives,” which is this week’s #2 Greatest Gainer, eyeing that number one position. Usher f/Juicy J’s “I Don’t Mind” has made the jump to Top 15 and Chase Murphy at KXXM San Antonio has this to say about it: “With music being so pop-heavy, it’s nice to have a song like this to help create balance. It also helps that it’s selling and Shazaming.” Meanwhile, Z100, WIOQ, WZFT all add Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” this week, just as it gets ready to move Top 20. Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” charted this week and picked up WXSS, WBLI and WKCI. With both WKSC and B96 banging Sia’s “Elastic Heart” (Monkeypuzzle), the Shazam, iTunes and Spotify numbers are all soaring in Chicago; watch this one grow!

RAL’s Weil and Halpern are making lots of noise with Shaggy f/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi’s “I Need Your Love.” Lots of majors are in on this one already, including Y100, KKRZ, KTU,WODS and KYLD to name a few.

With 3000+ spins this week, Taylor Swift’s “Style” (Big Machine) moves Top 5 and continues to aim for the top of the chart. Republic’s CW, Spangler and Russell just moved both Nick Jonas’ “Chains” (Island) and Natalie La Rose f/Jeremih’s “Somebody” (IMG) into the Top 20 and are quickly moving Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” through the twenties. KYLD just moved Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” to Power Rotation based on callout; the sales and Shazam numbers have both jumped as well. Who is Fancy’s “Goodbye” was Most Added on Impact with KIIS, Z100, KHKS all coming on board. Watch for a big launch with The Weeknd’s “Earned It.” It’s the official single for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack and is already bubbling under and ready to chart before their impact date.

Capitol
’s Reese, Rainey, Youngblood and Siciliano move Ne-Yo f/Juicy J’s “She Knows” into the Top 20 and pick up new airplay from KQMV, KMCK and WMFQ. After just two weeks out, Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love” jumps to #28 and Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” jumps to #31, as both quickly make their moves up the chart.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan are impacting George Ezra’s “Budapest” this week, and it will be in the Most Added column; WIOQ, KUDD, KMXV and WNCI are already on the board. Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” (SYCO) is headed Top 10 and just got the call-out kiss that should push her on up the chart. Calvin Harris f/Ellie Goulding’s “Outside” is #14 this week with adds including both SiriusXM’s Hits 1 and Venus. And you can’t disregard the great job that was done to get that callout info out there and grow One Direction’s “Night Changes” (SYCO) to Top 15. Olly Murs f/Travie McCoy’s “Wrapped Up” charted this week; new stations include WJHM, KRQQ and KYLD. LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills” is already on over 60 stations and is definitely chart-bound.

Last week, Epic’s Glassman launched Life of Dillon’s “Overload,” which was Most Added out of the box with WWPW, Y100 and WDZH leading the charge. Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink’s “Worth It” (SYCO) impacts next week and already has a number of majors on the board.

Warner Bros.
Gray, Dyer and Reich charted Echosmith’s “Bright,” picking up new airplay at KDWB, WIHT and WWHT.

Def Jam
’s Sackheim, Chester, Rothschild and Farag have had a very busy first quarter and it just keeps coming. They’re launching Iggy Azalea f/Jennifer Hudson’s “Trouble” this week and already have close to 50 adds on the board. Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s “Something New” launched last week and was in the Most Added column with Y100 and WFLC leading the charge, and with that comes a Top 15 Shazam out of Miami. Rihanna, Kanye West & McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” has over 180 pop stations and is picking up 100+ spins a week at KHKS, WODS and KHFI to help send this one Top 10 this week. Kanye West f/McCartney’s “Only One” is chart-bound and has some nice callout scores at WZPL and KIIS.

Music We Love: Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” (audio only) (Epic), Nova Rockafeller’s “Made in Gold” (Island)
