Sony's Western remake, The Magnificent Seven, was the highest-grossing film in America this weekend, earning a mediocre $35m, which is particularly unfortunate considering its $108m budget. Warner Bros.' family-oriented animation, Storks, followed, debuting at #2 with $22m. It's worth noting that this is the fifth weekend in a row that the Top 12 earned less than $100m combined.
