Epic's Future, whose voice you may have noticed in a cool Beats by Dre Super Bowl spot, leads the pack of new releases and looks headed or #1 on Friday's HITS album sales and SPS charts. It's a nice look for L.A. Reid and team going into Grammy week. Rihanna, who debuted digitally last week, has delivered physical product...
Parlophone’s Coldplay could claim their seventh U.K. #1 album as the band’s Super Bowl halftime headline show shoots A Head Full of Dreams to the top spot in the Official Albums Chart midweeks. Currently 8k sales ahead of Adele’s 25 (XL), the set is looking highly likely to improve its #2 peak.
Coldplay got snippets of four songs into their Super Bowl performance before Beyonce and Bruno Mars took over (and were heard in a few ads), but it was enough to pique the interest of iTunes shoppers. Three of the band’s performed songs—the new “Adventure of a Lifetime,” “Viva La Vida” and “Paradise”—shot into iTunes’ top 10, while a $6.99 sale helped propel several albums.

Beyoncé is going on tour. Repeat: Beyoncé is going on tour. This is not a drill. The 40-date, worldwide Formation Tour was announced immediately after her red-hot Super Bowl halftime appearance.
We may never know who got cold feet about the booking of Coldplay as the halftime act for the 50th edition of the Super Bowl, but Chris Martin & Co. had a quick four and out in Sunday’s presentation dominated by Beyonce’s new single, Bruno Mars’ Grammy-nominated record and images of past Super Bowl performers.
