JUST LIKE HEAVEN HAULS IN VAMPIRE WEEKEND, RILO KILEY
After announcing the bulk of its lineup via Southern California billboards earlier this month, the Just Like Heaven festival has officially confirmed a bill led by Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio, Bloc Party, Empire of the Sun and the reunited Rilo Kiley.
The AEG Presents event, which showcases the leading lights of the 2000s-era indie-rock explosion, will return 5/10 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl. Tickets go on sale 1/31.
Also confirmed to appear are Slowdive, Courtney Barnett, Grouplove, Peter Bjorn and John, The Drums, Toro y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Panda Bear and Wild Nothing. HITS will now be whistling PB&J's "Young Folks" for the rest of the day.
As for Rilo Kiley, the Jenny Lewis-led group hasn't played live since June 2008 and is expected to visit several other U.S. festivals this year.
"As a band, we began here, and we feel so fortunate to return among so many artists and friends, to this community we hold so dear, in such a beautiful and meaningful place," the members said.
