FIREAID ANNOUNCES FIRST $50M IN GRANTS
FireAid has announced disbursement plans for the first $50m raised by its pair of massive concerts and continuing efforts.
This initial round of grants, each worth at least $100k, will be distributed by the end of February. The list of recipients can be found here.
Phase two of the disbursements will focus on rebuilding.
FireAid has also established a program of smaller grants, from $10,000 to $50,000, available to community organizations. Apply here.
Presented by Irving and Shelli Azoff and family, Live Nation and AEG Presents, the two epic FireAid concerts, which simultaneously took over Intuit Dome and the Forum on 1/30—mere weeks after the fires began—raised more than $100m. The full lineup of performances remains available on demand (scroll to "Missed the Concert?" for a sizeable list of participating video and audio streamers).
Somehow, while writing those checks, Irving still manages to flip us off with the other hand.
