MYMAN, GREENSPAN, FOX, ROSENBERG, MOBASSER, YOUNGER & LIGHT LLP

Eric Greenspan
Greenspan founded the music department of what was originally created as a film/TV firm 32 years ago. The Duke grad’s first big client was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who’ve been with Greenspan since the dawn of their illustrious career. From discovering Jewel in a coffee shop in San Diego to promoting the Grateful Dead in the ’70s, Greenspan considers himself extremely fortunate to have been involved with artists since the infancies of their careers. Among the other artists he reps are Bon Jovi, Dead & Company, Bad Religion, Christina Aguilera and celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, who used to cook for Greenspan and his family for years before he helped expand her brand to TV ahead of launching a food empire covering books, restaurants and kitchen products.

Aaron Rosenberg
While at Harvard Law School in the early 2000s, Rosenberg interned at Arista Records and clerked at Greenberg Traurig, where he met his first client, John Legend. Mentored by Greenspan & Light, Rosenberg now reps pop royalty Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and Troye Sivan, hip-hop standouts Big Sean and LVRN (6lack, Summer Walker), songwriters Diane Warren, Justin Tranter and Ali Tamposi, newcomers Fletcher, Queen Naija and Charlotte Lawrence.

“Of any firm, ours arguably has the best combination of intellect, hustle and experience,” Rosenberg proudly declares.

Jeffrey Light
Described as “The smartest lawyer I know” by Greenspan, Light was the music department’s first hire. A partner at MG for 27 years, Light advises a rock roster that includes Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Korn, Disturbed, Godsmack and Rob Zombie. Along with teaching part-time at UCLA Law School, he counsels Electronic Arts and 20th Century Fox Television (Empire, The Simpsons, 24, Star). Light also reps Pulse Publishing, one of the fastest-growing music catalogs in recent years.

Francois Mobasser
Prior to the Blue Devil’s 20-year service at MG, his first taste of the biz was at a firm in New York that worked with LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige, Suge Knight and Death Row Records. Mobasser takes pride in having an eclectic practice, representing artists he is genuinely a fan of, as well as execs, songwriters and producers. His long-term clients include Jack Johnson, Common and Social Distortion. Along with having an ear for finding artists early in their career, Mobasser insists on “not working with assholes” and being good at lawyering as well as sustaining career-spanning relationships with clients. He also reps rising acts First Aid Kit, Big Wild, Tobe Nwigwe and Jumex.

Craig Marshall
Marshall got his start at Priority Records, where he developed his hip-hop chops working projects for Snoop, Ice Cube, and Master P/No Limit. He was VP of Business Affairs at Capitol before moving to Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope, where he worked on projects for Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani. Currently, he represents acts such as Joyner Lucas, Chika and the rap collective Brockhampton, introducing them to manager Christian Clancy and advising their milestone deal with RCA last year. He also oversaw the sale of Lecrae’s Reach Records catalog to Courage, and works with various songwriters, execs, rocker Elle King and American Idol breakout Alejandro Aranda. Marshall credits his label background in providing a unique skillset for his practice.
