SUNDAYS AT iHEART: IT'S PODCAST TIME
iHeart radio stations will be airing the most popular and highly anticipated podcasts from the iHeartPodcast Network on Sunday nights.
It starts 8/11 with the debut episode of season two of The Ron Burgundy Podcast co-produced by iHeartMedia and Funny Or Die. It will air on 270 of iHeartMedia’s broadcast stations across multiple genres.
“iHeartMedia reaches 91% of the U.S. population with just our broadcast radio stations alone, so we’re uniquely able to provide the scale critical to introducing podcasts to the millions of Americans who aren’t yet familiar with them,” said Conal Byrne, President of the iHeartPodcast Network. “Research shows that more than two-thirds of the population still are not dedicated podcast listeners—many have never even heard a podcast before—and Sunday Night Podcasts will help introduce different audio series from a variety of genres to a whole new audience.”
Sunday Night Podcasts is part of iHeartMedia’s “Podcast, Meet Broadcast” initiative that started in 2017 to introduce the rapidly growing podcast sector to iHeartMedia’s broadcast listeners. Among the podcasts that will be aired are Stuff You Should Know, Ridiculous History, Atlanta Monster and Whine Down with Jana Kramer.
