THE NEW KID ON
AMAZON'S BLOCK

Adam Block is joining Amazon Music as Global Head of Music Catalog, reporting to Director Ryan Redington. From his NYC perch, Block will ride herd on the digital giant's catalog strategy, build partnerships with labels and artists, and attempt to prank Steve Boom by telling Alexa to send 3,000 rolls of toilet paper to his office.

Block joins after a 26-year tenure at Sony Music, most recently as President of Legacy Recordings, where he oversaw many gorgeous reissues and other lovingly curated (and often award-winning) projects, and generally managed to avoid the calls of HITS idiots.

He's also Co-Chair of the Asbury Park Music in Film Festival and is a founding partner of L.A.-based music community Jazz Is Dead.
