U.K. MIDWEEKS: FREYA RIDING HIGH

Good Soldier-signed British artist Freya Ridings is set to make a big impact on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with her self-titled debut, which sits at #2 at this week's halfway point. Over on singles, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello could reclaim the top spot.

Ridings is managed and released by Good Soldier; Capitol has her in the U.S. Her highest charting single to date is “Lost Without You,” which peaked at #9 in 2017 and has since been certified platinum. After rising to #26, latest track “Castles” could reach a new high, sitting at #19 on today’s midweeks.

Ed Sheeran is still #1 with No.6 Collaborations Project (Atlantic) currently outperforming the entire Top 5 combined.

After hitting #50 following its digital release three weeks ago, Thom Yorke’s Anima (XL) has entered the Top 40 at #4 thanks to its arrival on physical.

Shakespears Sister are eyeing their first Top 10 album in 27 years—and third overall—with Singles Party (1988-2019) (London Music Stream) at #5, and Swedish power metal band Sabaton are in reach of their highest charting record to date with The Great War (Nuclear Blast) at #7.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are currently on course to claim a second non-consecutive week at #1 with “Senorita” (Virgin EMI/Syco).

Sheeran still has three tracks in the Top 5 with “Beautiful People” f/Khalid at #2, “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber at #3 and “Take Me Back to London” f/Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock at #4.

Boosted by the new remix with Bieber, Billie Eilish rises from #16 to #5 with “Bad Guy” (Polydor).
