THE OTHER POP MEAT

If you thought you'd seen some genre-stretching collabs of late, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Animated heroine Peppa Pig (part of the eOne brand family) began a social-media dialogue with Empire's Iggy Azalea that has cultivated in ... well, not a feature, exactly, but a sort of hybrid duet, just as both Peppa and Iggy drop new albums.

The socials have responded warmly to this interspecies musical merger, with the likes of Lil Nas X, Just Jared, People, Buzzfeed and other cultural bellwethers noting that it's now what's for breakfast. Will Peppa in fact be on the next "Old Town Road" remix? Will she be interviewed by Oprah? Will she join an already crowded field in the Democratic Presidential race? The world, it would seem, is this pig's oyster.
