THE SACK TO BAG GREATER DUTIES

Look for Epic EVP Rick Sackheim to be given broader management duties at the House of Sylvia. Sackheim and his team have had big success with Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled and more, at various points landing three albums in the Top 5.

The L.A. native moved to Epic at the start of 2018, following 12 years at Def Jam, where he earned the title of EVP Promo in 2014 and worked with such artists as Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Kanye West, Logic and Alessia Cara. He was mentored at that label by Steve Bartels, who exited Def Jam just before Sackheim’s move. His experience there made Sackheim—who relates well to artists and managers and can deliver the goods—the perfect partner for Sylvia and Epic’s hip-hop-heavy roster.

Rick enjoys surfing and not taking Todd Hensley’s calls.
