U.K. CHARTS: CAPALDI CLAIMS WEEK 4 AT #1

Lewis Capaldi’s debut has become the first album this year to spend four weeks at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, while The Jonas Brothers claim their highest U.K. chart position with Happiness Begins (Polydor).

Jonas Brothers claim their first Top 5 today with Happiness Begins at #2 behind Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI).

The debut from London MC MoStack, Stacko (Virgin EMI), charts at #3, while The Divine Comedy claim this week’s third highest new entry at #5 with their self-released 12th studio album, Office Politics. Further down, Avicii’s Tim (Positiva), ends at #7.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber claim a fifth week at #1 with “I Don’t Care” (Atlantic). It was a close battle with Lil Nas X, whose “Old Town Road” (Columbia) finishes 1.5k combined sales behind at #2; it was the week’s most streamed track with 8.8m plays.

The highest new entry today is Chris Brown’s collaboration with Drake, “No Guidance” (RCA), which debuts at #8. Meanwhile, Mabel’s “Mad Love” (Polydor) opens at #18; “Heaven” by Avicii—featuring uncredited vocals by Chris Martin—is new at #20; and Liam Gallagher's new single “Shockwave” (Warner Records) opens at #22.

MoStack lands three Top 40 entries: “Shine Girl” f/Stormzy hits a new peak at #13; “Stinking Rich” f/Dave & J Hus is new at #19; and “I'm The One” with Fredo lands at #39.
