CLOSER ARTISTS EXPANDS

Calum Scott’s manager Luke Williams is among a raft of new hires at Closer Artist Management, Recording and Publishing in the U.K.

Williams, who previously worked at Vector Management, brings with him a roster that includes Scott, young singer/songwriter JC Stewart who has recently signed to Warner Records UK, and songwriter Corey Sanders.

He also looks after recent Warner Records UK signing JC Stewart, songwriter Corey Sanders, (Zedd, Katy Perry, The Chainsmokers), and Jon Maguire, whose songwriting credits include Kodaline,Liam Payne and Tiesto. Williams also represents Grammy nominated mixing engineer Geoff Swan and producer Daniel Mirza.

They join the Closer roster that includes George Ezra, James Bay, John Newman, James Morrison, Lily Moore and Michaela.

“Having been in the office for a short period of time already, you can really feel the passion and in-depth analysis the team go through with each artist,” Williams said. “I feel this is a great opportunity to continue to learn and grow as a manager and for my roster to be part of such a great company and help build and develop their careers from where they are now.”

The Closer Artists team has also grown with the addition of three new hires, Nadia Shukri, Amelia Scivier and Josie Charlwood.

Shukri, who joins from East City Management, teams up with Williams as Day to Day Manager. Her background spans music touring at CAA and frontline marketing at Polydor Records.

Scivier, who has replaced Amanda Playle as GM, was previously the GM of Good Soldier Songs. Charlwood joins as Head of Digital from Global Media and Entertainment, where she managed digital strategy across Classic FM’s album releases and Global’s Enterprise brands.

Closer co-Managing Directors Paul McDonald and Ryan Lofthouse said: “These team additions are crucial to us not only strengthening the next phase of our company’s performance, but also adding to the service we give to all our clients.
