Three movies debuted in the domestic box office Top 5 this weekend. Warner Bros.' new Godzilla flick leads the pack, although it fell short of the studio's $50-55m expectations, and Paramount's Elton John pic Rocketman comes in at #3, exceeding monetary expectations and earning an A- CinemaScore.
Rocketman drove interest in John's music at iTunes: The Interscope-released soundtrack is #6 between the 17-track version of the hits collection Diamonds at #4 and 34-track version at #7. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is #21 at iTunes and #5 on the rock albums chart at Apple Music.
