U.K. CHARTS: ANOTHER VICTORY
FOR CAPALDI

Lewis Capaldi has remained at #1 for a second week on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined. Morrissey is the highest new entry at #4, while Ed Sheeran claims #1 and #9 on singles.

Morrissey has his 14th Top 10 album as a solo artist with covers album California Son (BMG). The Rocketman soundtrack (Virgin EMI) of Elton John songs debuts at #5, one slot ahead of John’s 50th anniversary album Diamonds. The Amazons’ second album, Future Dust (Fiction), ends the week at #9.

Four more new entries land inside the Top 40: Primal Scream’s compilation album Maximum Rock ’N’ Roll: The Singles (Sony) at #18; Where The Action Is (Cooking Vinyl) by The Waterboys at #21, Flamagra (Warp) by Flying Lotus at #25; and Sting’s My Songs (A&M) at #27.

On the U.K’s Official Singles Chart, Sheeran and Justin Bieber spend a third week at the top with “I Don’t Care” (Atlantic) logging 83.5k combined sales over the last seven days.

Lil Nas X finished just 1.3k combined sales behind with “Old Town Road” (Columbia), which was the most streamed song of the week with 10.9m plays. Sheeran also has this week’s highest new entry with “Cross Me” f/Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock at #9.

Two more new songs feature in this week’s Top 20: NSG’s “OT Bop” (RCA) at #17, and “The London” (300) by Young Thug f/J Cole and Travis Scott at #18. 5 Seconds of Summer, who have switched to Polydor from Capitol in the U.K., chart at #29 with “Easier.”
