PLATT MAKES HIS FIRST MOVES

Jon Platt has made two personnel moves in his early days running Sony/ATV: Tom Kelly has been promoted to global Chief Financial Officer and Elicia Felix-Hughey has joined the company in the newly created role of SVP, Global Human Resources.

Kelly and Felix-Hughey report directly to the new Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO and are based in New York.

As CFO Kelly will oversee all aspects of Sony/ATV’s worldwide financial operations, including reporting, accounting, compliance, budget, administration and corporate strategy. Global royalties and IT will report to him.

“The moment I knew I was joining Sony/ATV I recognized that Tom was the right person for this incredibly important role and I have no doubt that he will be a fantastic CFO for us,” Platt said. “Tom is a forward thinker with nearly three decades of top-level experience in the industry and his financial knowledge will be an invaluable asset in helping to grow our business.”

Kelly started at EMI Music Publishing in 1991 and when EMI Music Publishing became part of Sony/ATV in 2012 he was appointed EVP, Finance & Administration.

Felix-Hughey will be responsible for all of the company’s HR operations across its network of 38 offices in 24 countries. She most recently was VP of Global Human Resources at Octave Group, the parent company of TouchTunes. She spent more than seven years at EMI Music Publishing where she rose to the role of VP, Human Resources.

Platt praised her for having “a real gift for balancing the critical needs of the business, with the needs of those who work for the company. She has a human touch that people naturally gravitate towards and is the perfect person to lead the transition of the company.”
