PTTOW! Co-Founders Roman Tsunder and James Sullos assuage the fears of Sir Lucian Grainge and James Bay upon entering Orange County, letting them know they no longer need to show papers they have registered Republican.
Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Sir Lucian Grainge received the Icon Award at this year’s PTTOW! Summit in Dana Point. The award honors trailblazers in their industries who have had an impact on culture around the world.
“The most exciting thing that you can do as an artist is to take a risk," said Bay in presenting the honor to Grainge. "It can also be the scariest. When you’ve got someone in your corner as successful as this man, it’s only more inspiring to take that leap.”
Republic’s James Bay entertained the crowd of executives and cultural influencers. Grainge discussed his career, UMG and the evolution of the music industry with Elvis Mitchell, host of KCRW’s The Treatment.
After the ceremony, a contest was held to see who can say “PTTOW” without spitting.
