U.K. CHARTS: JACK SINGING TO #1

Jack Savoretti has claimed his first U.K. Official Albums #1 with sixth album Singing to Strangers (BMG) shifting more than 32k combined sales. Over on singles, Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” (Virgin EMI) has its biggest streaming week yet with 7.32m streams.

Singing To Strangers knocks last week’s #1, Dave’s Psychodrama (Neighbourhood), to #2, while Tom Walker’s What a Time To Be Alive (Relentless) rebounds two places to #3.

The second highest new albums entry this week is Sophie Ellis-Bextor with orchestral greatest hits, The Song Diaries (Cooking Vinyl), new at #14. The Cinematic Orchestra claim their first Top 40 album with To Believe (Ninja Tune) at #19 and blues guitarist Joanne Shaw Taylor opens at #20 with her seventh album, Reckless Heart (Sony Music).

On the Official Singles Chart, Capaldi spends a fourth week at #1 while Walker has his first Top 5 single with “Just You and I” rising six places to #4. Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker” (Polydor) rises two to #5.

Dave collects his fifth Top 10 single with “Location,” which rises three to #8, and Lauv and Troye Sivan both land their first Top 10 U.K. single with “I’m So Tired” (Kobalt) climbing four slots to #9.
