FOALS VS. DAVE

There’s a fierce chart battle going on in the U.K. right now, with Foals and Dave pulling out all the stops to shift final sales before the winner is revealed on Friday. Hotly tipped newcomer Dave has risen from his midweek position of #5 and was behind Foals at #2 by just 400 sales on Wednesday.

Warner Bros. band Foals have been on an extensive promo tour across the U.K. this week for fifth studio album, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1, and on Wednesday, fans were offered the chance to win VIP tour tickets if they bought it before 4pm Thursday.

Meanwhile, Dave was in Soho selling CDs and meeting fans for that last push of his debut, Psychodrama (NBR), and a limited-edition T-shirt and CD bundle has been available online.

Right now, Dave is #1 on iTunes, while Foals are #4, and Dave has three tracks in Spotify's U.K. Top 10. Whoever is crowned winner tomorrow will get their first Official Albums #1.
