Last week, Spotify became available to music lovers in India, the second most populous country in the world.
Since then, the company has reported that more than one million unique users have registered for the app, and began to explore the songs.
Interestingly, 68% of the artists in the top 50 rank, hail from somewhere other than India, most notably the act at #1: Republic's Jonas Brothers and their brand-spanking-new smash, "Sucker."
Perhaps Nick Jonas' recent wedding to Priyanka Chopra— one of India's highest-paid and most popular celebrities—has elevated his band's latest hit. Or Jim Roppo's Hindi has improved markedly.
