R. Kelly has turned himself in to Chicago Police after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims, at least three of them minors.
Records show the alleged crimes span from 1998-2010. Cook County prosecutors appeared before Judge Dennis Porter Friday to approve the warrant for Kelly. He is due in court on 3/8.
The charges come after years of speculation of criminal sexual activity pinning Kelly to minors. Most recently, the damning documentary Surving R. Kelly by dream hampton aired on Lifetime and reignited the campaign to investigate Kelly's history.
Following the documentary and social media blitz, Sony and RCA officially dropped Kelly from their roster, as did UMPG.
