Musicology, 3121 and Planet Earth will become available on vinyl for the first time ever and CD beginning 2/8. As you would expect, the records are being pressed on purple vinyl. Preorders have begun.
The three albums were released independently early in the 21st century: Musicology (2004) landed two and launched a killer tour; 2006’s 3121 was Prince's first #1 album since 1989's Batman; and 2007's Planet Earth Prince was famous for being given away in the U.K. with the national newspaper The Mail.
It was also the era when Prince delivered epic performances at the Grammys and the Super Bowl.
