U.K. CHARTS: BIG WEEKS FOR ARIANA, MUSE

Ariana Grande has earned the highest weekly streaming figures YTD while Muse have claimed the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart #1 with Simulation Theory (Warner Bros.), their sixth album to reach the top.

At albums, Olly Murs ends at #2 with You Know I Know (RCA), and The Beatles take #4 with an expanded edition of their self-titled 1968 classic (Apple Corps).

Two more new albums enter the Top 10: Aled Jones & Russell Watson's In Harmony (BMG) at #8, followed by Imagine Dragons with Origins (Polydor) at #9.

I'll Remember You (Sony Music) from Britain's Got Talent 2018 finalists, The D-Day Darlings, is new at #15, British metalcore band Architects land at #18 with their eighth album, Holy Hell (Epitaph), and Lil Peep is #19 with the posthumous collection, Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 2 (RCA).

On the Official Singles Chart, Grande’s “thank u, next” (Island) has the highest weekly U.K. streaming figures YTD with 9.76m plays. Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” (Polydor) was the last track to top that number, racking up 10.6m in May 2017.

“thank u, next” sold a combined total of 95k—more than double that of this week’s #2, “Shallow” (Polydor) by Lady Gagaand Bradley Cooper.

Elsewhere, Halsey climbs to new heights with “Without Me” (Virgin EMI) up three places to #6, Post Malone f/Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” (Island) lifts two spots to #8, and Freya Ridings rebounds three places back to #9 for a third time with “Lost Without You” (Good Soldier).

Cheryl has this week's highest new entry at #19 with “Love Made Me Do It” (3 Beat).
