Ariana Grande will record a special concert next week in the U.K. that will air in the fall on BBC One. She’ll perform material from Sweetener as well as some of her hits, accompanied by an all-female orchestra.
Ariana Grande at the BBC will be taped with a studio audience on 9/7. Presenter Davina McCall will interview Grande in the hourlong special.
Jan Younghusband, Head of Commissioning, Music Television, and Charlotte Moore, Director of Content, BBC Television, commissioned the show.
Younghusband said, “We are so delighted to have Ariana back on the BBC, she is an outstanding new talent so loved by audiences in the UK.”
The BBC has done similar programs with Adele, Harry Styles, Sam Smith and others.
“Since I’ve been asked to do this show,” McCall said, “I have been worried that someone is going to call up and tell me they’ve made a mistake and chosen the wrong presenter, because this seems just too good to be true.”
Registration for tickets begins at 10am BST Friday.
