NEW TEAM
AT MATADOR

Matador has a new U.K. General Manager in Alex Keague-Davies, who joins from [PIAS] and will take the helm from Natalie Judge, while Jake Whitener has been hired as Director of A&R in New York.

Keague-Davies has been an International Project Manager at [PIAS] for the last five years, where she has led global campaigns for various labels and artists artists including Faith No More, Matt Simons and Cigarettes After Sex. Judge will step down as GM at the end of this month after an 11 year-run, boasting success in the U.K. with Queens of the Stone Age, Savages and Interpol, who are heading for a Top 5 Official Albums Chart position on Friday with Judge's final project, Marauder.

Whitener was previously a publicist at Big Hassle Media, and founder of labels Mock Records and Unsatisfied Records, and Los Angeles DIY festival Unscene Fest. He has previous experience at Capitol Records and Red Light Management. In his new role, Whitener replaces Robby Morris who joined Secretly Group as Creative Director earlier this year.

"I'm looking forward to not only continuing the legacy and success of Matador and their artists, but growing and building on that, both in the U.K. and internationally," Keague-Davies said.
